The bad news is someone stole one of my blog articles. The good news is that they were stupid enough to leave the 2 internal links to my website.

My question is, should I leave them be as Google supposedly knows who posted the content first (the internal links to my site and all) and because it's providing me with 2 links to my website.

Or should I get the content taken down because it will negatively effect my SEO in some way?

Thanks!

Are the links do-follow and is the site high in authority? If not, you're probably not gonna gain too much benefit from that stolen article bandit.

At least, check they don't hot link your pictures which would mean they steal your bandwidth

Hey guys, I've been reading a lot about SEO but still have a lot to learn. Thanks for all of your input. The article that was stolen didn't have any pictures taken. I didn't even think about the fact that if someone is displaying images that are hosted on my server that they would be stealing my bandwidth. I'm fairly sure the links are ******** but the website is very low rank. And @seoguruseo, what's your idea?

This is not a big surprise at all, there are tones of tools to do this sold right here on BHW.
