someone intentionally sabotaging me!

ok so I am not a Black Hat SEO, but since having my rankings destroyed by a competitor I have been dedicating myself to learning the dark side of the force . I should also say that although I see nothing wrong with black hat I do consider marketers that sabotage there competitors using illegal techniques to be ultimate scum that simply can't win off there own skills.

Here is whats happening to me. My Ranking for my homepage disappeared completely within Google for my money term and the only way I can find the homepage is by typing either my sites name or exact url. My subpage money keywords fell to the 3rd, 4th and 5th pages of Google.

1. I noticed someone posting links to my site from bad neighborhoods mixed in with known spamming categories like, ugg boots, jerseys, porn etc.

2. Someone has copied alot of my on site content on my targeted money pages including my meta descriptions and spread it across thousands of sites also mixed with these terms.

3. they are also hosting 5 websites on the same ip as me (exact same ip, not sure how thats done and I am not that smart when it comes to server side stuff and coding)
these sites are exact duplicates of my site. they are hosting the whole live homepage on these sites only under a different name, but when I click through a link it goes to my site.

4. all 5 of these sites also appear to be banned by Google.

I should also say that this site is about 1 1/2 years old and had been on the first page for about 12 months for all its keywords and the number spot for most of its keywords.

Any ideas or help from you all would be greatly appreciated.

Write to the hosting company to ban them
write to google (they sometimes take care) about this and deindex your bad backlinks.
Try to find who your competitor is.

your competitor has WAAAAAY to much time on his hands.

Rest assured he is not going anywhere in IM or making money. With the amount of time and money to do all this, they could've had 40 campaigns.

Feel sorry for you man, your competitor sounds like an absolute evil piece of shit who deserves a good beating.

you sure you haven't been hacked? although if you were he would probably be better off just deleting all your files or something.. are his sites using the same nameservers also?

You need to get a dmca notice written. Supply it to your hosting and also supply it to google they will deal with them accordingly. I think the main issue you're having here is the duplicate content. The links you shouldn't need to worry about to much as all that should happen is no trust rank will be passed on from those sites to yours. If you're hosting on shared hosting this is probably how they have managed to get on the same ip. Just concentrate on getting the duplicate sites and content removed and you should be ok.

Thanks for the advice, I really want to find out who this guy is. I have been reading about submitting a John Doe Subpoena to find out who was the register of these sites. I was also wondering since the site has been so heavily damaged if I were to do a 301 re-direct would whatever is suppressing my rankings/penalty whatever it is be transfered as well? or would I just get the power behind my links?

No I don't think I have been hacked gonna check to see if they are on the same namesevers but I don't think so.

Dude speak to your host, surely they will ban him if you show the clear evidence.

Hi dude, you not alone, I feel for you too as I had a site penalised and deindexed after some competitor send p*rn links over from bad neighbourhood as well.

I guess the best option is to start a brand new site on a new domain and host with a dedicated ip.

Hate these sh*ty people who did these stuffs as well.

If this tactic is effective, I'm afraid more competitors will adopt this technique. Its an easy win.

How can we protect ourselves? A bunch of high PR EDU links? Would high authority back links work as a buffer?

There must be something we can do except accepting the fate??!

not sure what to make of this other than an uneasy feeling about the theory "you cant have too many backlinks because if google de-inedexed you for that id sabotage my competitors sites by spamming them with xrumer/scrapebox....." just so we're clear on what youre saying, how many legit backlinks did you have in place before the sabotage campaign began and how many do you have now?

It could also be an "inside" job.. From your host I mean..

At the end of the day, you have to take it on the chin.

shit happens and you can either get eaten up about it or get even.
