Sold website with fb page

Hey guys,

I sold my website and the new owner will get all social media accounts. My question is my FB page that goes with the website is my personal FB page with the business page on it. I don't care giving him it because I just use FB for advertising.

Can the new owner change his name without a problem on my FB page?

This FB page is linked to my personal cellphone? Can I make another page with this cellphone?

Should I be using my real name for my personal FB page when I start another website attached with this FB page?

you can add another admin user to the fb page and later he can remove your permission
 
Has anyone had FB ask for your photo ID if you account gets locked? I would hate to have 25K real likes and good engagement on one of my FB accounts that has a fake name and my account gets banned!
 
As the PP stated, you don't have to give your FB away.. you simply add that person as an admin and they remove you. You wouldn't want to give your FB account away.. the person should have their own personal account to attach the page to.

They can and will ask for photo ID and block accounts. That is why you always have a separate FB account and add yourself as an (second) admin on all your pages.. that way if you get locked out of an account with no way to get back in, you can access your page with your fanbase. That is best practice risk management IMO

Thanks! So with my fake personal account I should add my real name as a second admin? Will anybody be able to search my real name in FB and see what fanpages I have?

You should have second account that you have the ability to upload an ID to verify your identity - how you do that is up to you (use real name or variation on real name that FB would accept, ask to use a family members name if they don't use FB - the thing is that FB doesn't really validate that you are the person in your ID, they want the name to match with enough assurance that it is you).

I do not believe that anyone can link your profile to your owned pages but I would put the real account on super privacy lockdown so no one can see any of the pages you like and whatnot. Make sure that you have combed over the privacy settings and lock it down (probably check them periodically if it is important to you).

Doing this will ensure that you won't lose a fanpage because if the fake account gets verification request you can just log on to the fanpage from your real account and proceed as normal. That account with your real information will be your safety net... hopefully you never need it but if you do it will be a huge relief!

So if I add my wife as admin to my personal account and my personal account needs verification, my wife can show her ID even though I have a fake name on my personal account? Will all her friends and coworkers see what pages she is linked to? Thanks
 
FB usually don't ask for ID unless your reported or your name looks fake. If you want to have your personal account as a fake name, just use other names and put your real name as your maiden name. If FB ask for your ID you have your real name (other names) with your ID to upload.

You would add your wife as an admin on the FB fanpage - that way if your fake account gets closed down she has control of your fanpage and can add another account once you are back up and running. The bottom line is that you always want to have one safe account as an admin on all your valuable FB fan pages.

I do not believe anyone can see which pages you admin but if you like the page, they can see what pages you like if you don't have your security settings correct.

It's easy, you can add him as another admin on your facebook page, then remove your self from it. Done!
