SMM strategies for local rappers

I'm looking to help out some local rappers and artists in my area increase their reputation through SMM. I know to blow up their Instagram and twitter pages and funnel the traffic to soundcloud or youtube but what else can I do? Have them pay for interviews on music blogs? Campaigns for shows? Create ads? Is there anything I can do specifically on Youtube to help increase their views and subscribers organically?

Create a bunch of facebook accounts and add local people. Then you can use the accounts to share the rappers videos, or to invite people to shows.
