Should I start using a proxy, or keep doing what I’ve been doing?

Hey, for the past two years I’ve been creating Instagram accounts on my two phones, each with its own SIM card. I used to get banned, but all I had to do was create a new account and enjoy high reach. People recommend mobile proxies, but from what I’ve seen, a mobile proxy costs around $100–$150 a month. So, managing 10 Instagram accounts would cost me over $1,000, which isn’t really worth it for me, especially considering how crappy and slow it runs. I think I’d rather buy a used phone for $50 and a SIM card to post Reels on Instagram.

The only thing I’m planning is to start posting Reels on Instagram to a target audience in another country. I’ve heard that you don’t need an IP address from another country to reach people in another country, and I can see that works for me, but should I still get a mobile proxy from the country I want to target? I’ve already noticed that just having captions in a different language on Reels works pretty well. Unless that’s not necessary

If what you’re doing is already working, I honestly wouldn’t overcomplicate it.

For 10 accounts, buying extra phones and SIMs can make more sense than spending a lot on mobile proxies every month, especially if you’re posting manually and not scaling hard.

For reaching another country, content usually matters more than matching the IP exactly. Language, audio, captions and audience behaviour tend to push the reach more than the proxy location.

If you start scaling bigger, then maybe look into proxies, but for your current setup I’d keep it simple.
 
If your current setup is already working, I wouldn’t rush to change it. Managing accounts with separate phones and SIM cards can be a simple and stable approach on Instagram. Proxies usually become more useful when you’re automating or scaling much larger.
 
Keep going with what you're doing but if you're curious you could get a mobile proxy for a week and test to see if there's any difference

You do know the first rule in IT right? If it works don't touch it! As long as you are sucessful in what you're currently doing I would not overcomplicate things. As for the IP part for your target audience, Instagram usually serves reels to your target audience according to niche relevance and/or language. So yeah you don't need a different IP to target your respective target audience.
 
Do you create accounts and upload on instagram using your SIM card's 4G/mobile data or Wifi

Ultimately, I want to manage several accounts, see which ones gain traction quickly, and eventually handle, say, 5 accounts. But sometimes I have to create a few accounts on my phone and see which one manages to build an audience right from the start, because usually only 1 out of 4 or 5 accounts succeeds in doing so.

I recently made a mistake because one Instagram account I’ve had for over a year—which had grown significantly—got suspended. I sent my ID and managed to get it unblocked, but today the same verification popped up again.
(I linked my Instagram account to Threads and Facebook.) Some kind of restriction went into effect on Threads and immediately carried over to Instagram. Don’t do what I did, haha.

I recently bought a cheap iPhone and set up two Instagram accounts on it. One works, but the other was suspended next day, so even with a new phone and a new IP address, you can still get banned easily and sometimes at random.

The only problem I have with the iPhone is that I can’t install apps like DualSpace on it like I can on Android, or create a second space, so I only have one Instagram app on this iPhone. I’ve heard that people do some kind of jailbreak, but I don’t know anything about that. So next time, I think I’ll get an Android.
 
Mobile proxies become valuable if you want to scale. Like instead of managing dozens of phones and SIM cards, proxies allow you to safely operate many accounts from a single computer while maintaining real mobile IP addresses.
 
As the saying goes: If something works dont touch it. You can definitely find cheaper that $100 proxies if you plan to scale
 
so many indians bro. get a mobile proxy from empire proxy if u finna buy anything DONT buy anything from those indians. empire proxy lets u buy gbs and keep it till u used it all. they dont put time limit. and they are great for meta too
 
For targeting other countries; you would need to look into using hashtags that are specific for that region. The account should adjust from there.
 
If your current setup is performing well, there’s no real need to change it too quickly. Using separate devices and SIMs can already be a stable way to manage accounts. More complex setups like proxies are usually only necessary when you’re scaling or handling a much larger volume.
 
honestly your current setup with phones + sims is already good and more natural than proxies, you don’t really need a foreign IP to reach other countries since content, language, and engagement matter more, proxies are expensive and only useful at bigger scale so what you’re doing is fine.
 
There's no need for mobile proxies for just 10 accounts, you can handle it in 2 Phones with 2 Sim Cards, Each device handling 5 accounts each, This is a very simple and straightforward thing, Dont overcomplicate it.

You can always make your own mobile proxies you know... most mobile proxy sellers bill like 2x more than what they pay for the service actually.

you should buy more phone, and plan a good time management. When you put your phone in flight mode, the IP address changes. You can create as many accounts as you want with different IP addresses and a single SIM card, using one account for one hour and another for two hours.
 
You don’t really need a proxy just to reach another country. Instagram mostly pushes content based on audience behavior, language, engagement, and content signals, not just IP. If your Reels are in the right language and people engage, they’ll get shown to that audience. Proxies are more about account management and scaling, not reach itself. If your current setup works, no real need to change it.

You said that using your IP address already works for you in reaching the people that you are targeting. You don't have to change anything. Continue doing it the way it works for you.
