I have found an expired domain that is 25 years old. I checked it on SEMrush and there is no valuable information. I also checked the historical content of the website on Wayback Machine, and everything appears to be normal.

I am hesitating whether to purchase this domain for a blog website. The website previously belonged to a product manufacturer.

it doesn't look spectacular. Check the anchors and the backlinks and if...

- it's worth restoring the pages with backlinks +
- the price seems fair

... register it. Otherwise (especially if it costs over $100 and the backlinks are not good) skip it!

If the domain actually expired, as in free to register to anyone, then it won't be 25 years old - it'll be (today - new registration date) days old. Judging by those stats I would probably only register it if I liked it from a branding perspective.

Just a tip, use ahrefs free backlink checker to evaluate expired domains. Semrush authority is now based on organic keywords & search traffic, which of course doesn't exist on a dead website so it's not a great read.

As long as it's a normal priced (lets say $10) domain, it's not a bad place to start.

2 domain authority isn't that great
You can beat that in a few weeks
Skip it unless it's very cheap and fits your brand
