I just started up a fashion page where I mostly put up pictures of streetstyle fashion pictures I find on Tumblr. After reading an article about "people getting sued on IG due to copyright issues" I am considering deleting all my ""stolen"" pictures of random people with classy clothes.

What do you guys think? My page currently has 1k followers and I am aiming high and don't want to get sued later.

Tell me what you think about the situation!

Cheers

Well the simple answer is if you are using someones copyrighted work then yes you can be sued.

Now will you be sued? No one knows

I think that as long as you are not directly using these pictures for commercial reasons, then I personally think you should be fine.
Then I see no point in them suing you, since their photo was already 'leaked' across the internet.

Perhaps you should name the photographer in the caption of the foto, give him or her credit.

Yes, if the image is not yours and you're using it without their permission. Doing this can lead to being sued, so I'd recommend not using certain photos which may have been copyrighted by the owner.

I heard instagram changed its user agreement to that anyone who uploads a picture to instagram can have those pictures used by anyone.
