Shopify store speed optimisation

Hello guys,

I'm trying to improve the speed of my shopify store, however i compressed the size of the images, i removed entirely some scripts that were loading in the homepage and yet, the score in Pageinsight and Gtmetrix never seem to change a bit.

Why is that ?

When i tried to hire someone from Fiverr to do the work, all the freelancers say that they don't work with Pageinsight or Gtmetrix, they only use ThinkwithGoogle

So for a shopify store, is it realy possible to reach a high score ? I'm able to achieve that all the time with wordpress sites but with Shopify it's questionable ?

Anyone have an idea on the matter ? I would appreciate it

To get any good level of customization you need to be on Shopify Plus but that's $24k/yr. You just don't have a lot of options on those regular plans. Our store was always slow before making the switch, no matter how much optimization.

Thank you mate for your quick response, i suspected that Shopify Plus might be faster.

So you applied the same customization that didn't work on the regular shopify plan and you redid them in Shopify Plus and it showed results then ?

You just have a ton more customization with Shopify Plus on all levels. You can literally make any page how you want it - and if it isn't perfect, you call up your rep and their monkeys get to work helping you.

Like the checkout can be completely redone, it's honestly amazing for perfecting conversions.
