Journey Thread

New venture GOAL: $800/week

  • Got my product - Only one that's $5 (Selling it for $19) - Will only be selling one product with different variants to choose: Ex: Color, style, size.

  • Got my store - using shopify $25 plan

  • Got my ad copy - video ad with words and using product within video

  • Using Oberlo to fullfill orders into AliExpress

  • FB Pixel is setup

  • Ad setup: Conversion Campaign

Setting up a conversion campaign on FB ad manager. I really want the buyers data only. Did some crazy targeting with one ad set (Maybe these pp will love it) and will start with just this one ad. I have several copies for split test but will use this one ad first and it's in review right now. $10/day ad budget. Will only use Facebook news feed and IG news feed as Ad placement. Within ad text description I did use one Emoji with call to action plus before that I had a general sweet description of the product but it is just a few words.

Day: 01
Setup site, Facebook, & Instagram yesterday and today I have created the ad
Waiting for this ad to get out of review... Probably will go through tomorrow or sometime in the next few hours. I'll try to keep this thread updated.

Day: 02
Coming Soon

Best of luck brother. In December I was able to go 0 to 20k one product store.

Here's my mistakes so you can avoid it.

1- Use a dedicated credit card only for Facebook ads. Depending on your bank If you use same credit card for Aliexpress your bank might put blocks on it due to the volume of individual orders and if they block it you will wake up with your ads not running. Facebook hates getting payments declined and it might result in a Ban.

2- Contact your supplier and for their WeChat. Ask your supplier for shipping times, ask if they have all the variants and make sure they are good to go.

3- Set up your email marketing. Most of your emails will be from customers asking about their shipping times. Make sure they receive order confirmation with expected shipping times.

4. Test multiple creatives at all times.

5. Soon as your item is getting around 20 orders a day find a supplier or use Cjdropshipping. Aliexpress shipping times are not sustainable.

I can go on and on but best teacher is trail and error. I wish you the best it took me 4 stores to be profitable do not give up and keep pushing.

What's the product you got in your store? I'm curious to know about your product and the reason behind selling that specific product.
Posting to follow this. Goodluck with the journey.

Hey dude, good stuff. Do you have a script you follow for testing ads whether on facebook / google ads? Thanks. For example, on google ads, bid $x / day, use SKAG etc.

Also whenever you start running ads, make sure you have a matching ad spend in 30 day visitor retargeting as well. My RT ads convert so much higher than my prospecting ads, it's insane.

Seems a well planned thread to follow, good luck on the journey

Wish you the best of luck!

Yes i get 30 to 600 orders a day. But nowe becos of the corona i get a big 0 sales a day.

This nowe going on for 2 weeks 0 sales.

So please dont spend money on ads. Just bild yous site. Or start other project in the mean time.

Day: 02

Sales: 00

Amount Spent: $4.88
Amount Made: $0
Total: -$4.88 (Loss) :weep:

Detailed information
Today the ad was finally reviewed and went live. After about $3.00 spent I had a click through my ad to my site (Probably a mistake :() plus a few emails from Facebook saying there's too many text in my ad. I decided to check out my ad and I noticed that I should add a thumbnail in my video to cover that first part of the video where it has text. Maybe that will cure that Facebook alert. After editing the video and applying a thumbnail without any text I published the ad and now it's back in the review stage  once again. Inside my ad placement I noticed that Facebook is placing my ad in Instagram 97% (Mobile news feed) :anyway: and then the rest on Facebook news feed... But IG probably is the way to go with dropshipping.

Edit: Oh yeah let me add this for those who are interested to know. I am targeting worldwide audience.

What am I doing: Waiting on review so ad can go live :poop:

Day 03 will come near you stay tuned!

I've never seen conversion ad on FB get more than 0 sales ever.
Make that budget shine, segment audience in adgroups, and there is https://www.facebook.com/ads/tools/text_overlay to test text:no-next ratio.

Good luck , following the thread.

Just one question which one is better, alidropship or shopify ?
