About to subscribe to your thread, hopefully I'll learn a thing or two while following you. Most of all maybe it'll finally get me off my lazy ass to start doing something for real too.. :$

Just a quick question here, you obviously know what you're doing so I assume you know what's around on the market.
Why don't you use software like Long Tail Pro for your keywords research?

This works fine too (edit: your method is what I mean by this), but I'm just wondering if there is any specific reason to do it "all" by hand.

Good question! I think looking for keywords manually gives me an edge over the competition. Lots of people use keyword/niche finder tools; I prefer to apply a bit of lateral thinking and come up with keywords that suit my criteria for easy ranking.

It's also important to learn how to spot and test valuable keywords yourself so that you don't end up blindly selecting keywords that may not be that good.

Very informative so far!

You mentioned using 4-5 easy ranking keywords with lower search volume versus a more competitive keyword. How would you integrate the 4-5 keywords within your site? Would they each get their own article or page? Or would they all be worked into the same articles together? Also, what would you choose for a domain name if you're using a variety of keywords?
 
Hey seocrab, could you pm me your Skype? I'm going to start the journey and compare the results (Want to start today). I have done the keyword research part but not 100% sure about the research.

Yeah this is a good question.

I can target "baby food that is made for fat kids over 5lbs"

But where would that fit on a site that is any kind of long term kinda thing.

I'll cover domains tomorrow, but as all the keywords will be related it's still ok to have a partial match domain, or even an unrelated one works fine.

I will be making a different site page to rank for each keyword. 5 keywords = 5 pages. Homepage will be more general, and link to relevant pages. I'll go over the steps when I get to that stage!

Yeah this had me confused also, will you have an static page or blog type homepage? Also if your keyword is for example: yakbabyfood, domain will be yakbabyfood, your category is yakbabyfood and then articles with yakbabyfood in it then it will will look something likeyakbabyfooddotcom/yakbabyfood/cheapestyakbabyfood

4,000 exact monthly searches. That's just for the 5 main keywords; there will be plenty of long tails picked up too.

Just to make sure that i am on the same page with you, i take it that the summation of your 5 different keywords total the 4,000 exact monthly search and not the individual keywords right?
 
4000 exact search. site get 2000+ visitor per month. max ctr is 10%. it is max.and how do u want earn 500$ of 200 click?

The $500/month goal is for multiple sites. Just setting up the first site at the moment....!

Yes, 5 keywords, total 4,000 exact monthly searches. With long tails and additional traffic from social networks, I'm not looking for more popular keywords. The idea is to make it easy to rank quickly, without investing a lot.
 
I purchased 3 micro niche sites once which were making roughly $3/day. I nearly got my Adsense account banned from them since G saw right through the tactic. However I thought the sites looked pretty legit and original with good content on them.

How will your method ensure G doesn't wise up to it?
 
These are really great tips! I am not very experienced in AdSense myself, so I am glad to learn anything I can about it before jumping in. Do you implement any other Affiliate Marketing to reach your $500 a month goal? Or do you solely use AdSense. Thanks again for sharing all of these tips, and good luck with your goals.
