I'm noobie in internet marketing. I've learned a lot about link building and all. But I need some experts suggestion here.

I'm working on a website and only doing skyscraper technique on that. Just want to know is it possible to rank a website with just guest posts and link insertions in pre-existing articles or I need to do something more than that.

If yes what other types of backlinks you suggest.

Please help..........

web 2.0s - but build these like legit websites with superior content, otherwise they are useless.

You can see the variety of links there are on BHW by keeping an eye on the homepage everyday, many different link building threads popup.
With a service from here, you are saving time and money instead of doing it yourself, as someone already maybe has an established site, or method.

Of course you will have to look for your own link opportunities, so you don't just depend on just sellers, you maintain your own portfolio of internal links too.

Technically, you could perfectly rank just with that, but checkout other sites ranking high in your same niche what kind of links are strengthening them. You can use any tool like ahrefs for this purpose.

I have personally had mediocre results with Skyscraper.

SkyScraper links are more random than paid link insertions or guess posts.

You have very little control over link-velocity and anchor text. Not to mention strength of the source websites.

These links are also indirect, I wasn't able to acquire them directly to money page. Sky Scraper pages work better as informational, link juice "middle man".

Can you rank with insertions and guest posts alone? Yes

By doing SkyScraper alone? No (imo)

You can use forum links, as well as dilute them with links from profiles. I think it's worth starting with this. I think this is a good starting strategy. The forum has many topics in which users advise sites from which you can get links from profiles with a high DA. You can use it.
