Sorry I'm a newby on SEO but I have been learning a lot in the past year, I have hire a couple of companies that have done nothing more that just take my money and no results, I Have been working in our company website (furniture sales related) and already have several words stuck in second and third page of Google but havent been able to get them to gain positions, I need recommendations on what to do. I need to get them to page 1 ASAP (who dosent LOL) but I need a good method or SEO expert to help with this, any recommendations will be highly appreciated.

A good place to start would be to download Traffic Travis (free version). This is an easy to use tool that will allow you to analyse your on page SEO and tell you how you can improve it. It also gives detailed information about the sites competiting for page one rankings for your keyword. If you analyse these results you can see how many backlinks they have to their ranking page and whole domain. Essentially your goal should be to get more links than them but bear in mind quality links count for a lot more than many spammy links. Get out and try to build high qualified and diversified links or purchase a package that will do this for you to save time.

There are a lot of information in this forum that you can learn from without spending money. If you decided to spend, check out "Services For Sale" section.

Investing blindly isn't going to get you anywhere.

I suggest, if you feel the need to update, just search for a thread here called "Black Hole", tell Raven sent you, and you are in for one of the best seo services on BHW.

If, however, you want to try some free methods, I suggest starting out small. Here are some awesome guides written by a valuable member here:

Good luck.

If your budget is $500+/mo please feel free to PM me OP. I can most likely help you out and would be happy to discuss your seo needs with you.

You should not pay in advance to companies or freelancers without any proven track record of sites they have already ranked. Have you got any on-page SEO done till now?
