The very idea of a good search engine is based upon providing people what they are looking for. So, as long as we have relevant and quality content, I think we should be okay. Leave the complex tasks, like analyzing click patterns of the users to determine if they are being able to find the right thing, to Google ;)

Not all are writing there Goals for 2012???
My Goal to Double my Sites...Launch new Services...And planning to grow my team from 39- at least 70 people...
Big Plans for 2012..Currently Working to COmplete Basic Structure and Paper work for them..
In my view SEO will change in to Panda 4.0, where Content fast indexing is issue..not Links indexing..as Links indexing is Panda 2.0 and currently Panda 2.5 Gives 30% devalue to Links...Social Traffic will become more popular...and Yes People will launch many new Bots this year..as for SenukeX and Xrumer type Bots they will need some Critical Upgrades otherwise they are out in 2012...ZennoPoster and Ubot will grow demand..
People Power of Outsourcing will increase..as SEO is in time of evolution So not all people can build links and get results..they need Real Work Plans in 2012...

hi everybody,

according to me, things changes as time changes. in case of SEO, it's all going to based upon good, relevant and quality content. Google will seek to eliminate badly spun content and ensure that the top ranking websites are of a good quality content. They shall update their algorithm to promote sites.

backlinks are going to become less important. Social Networking could play a big part as well. whatever, we all are going to succeed in bussiness in 2012, good luck to all.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012.:):):)

Who knows :)

Definitely content will be more valued especially with proper keywords usage and words count of 1000+ per page

Concentrate on developing niche based websites and create business or services, owning your own internet company is the next level.

Social factors play the key role here:

Google want its users searching for a particular term to plus one it on the webpage they find useful and it increases the ranking for those keyword in the future searches.
These way its hard to beat the system even by buying plus one

My forecast:

Google seo.
Backlinks will be vanished as very important search ranking factor (it will be devalued to to the point where it's importance is like on-site seo). Instead they will increase importance of text index. Which would go to other google "trend" - Google alerts. I think that building fresh topical content will be key for success. If you will target keywords without "fresh" attribute - you will rank them with "fresh" content indexing.

Trends for blackhat.
Spinnable content (spinned sentences and then atleast 50% spinned words in them), investing time for best results.
Outsourcing keywords.
Outsourcing tools via VPS.
Making satellite pages and then blasting them with tools with slow indexing.
Making it even more expensive/same result as at 2012 we will have even more players in SEO field.

And of course,
reputation management as offline-online ventures will be really worthy with all kinds of businesses. Topic is getting popular.

This sounds about right. Social trends, fresh topics, good content.
I think they will soon find out about spun content and devalue it, because if not done really well you just need to compare some words/sentences.
In the end it's not original and they don't necessarily want people to find it.

All BHW members will increasingly hang out on the Warrior Forum and learn article marketing instead of SEO...:p

I really dont know much about SEO but I will learn it, I am motivated as hell to learn it. lol

GOAL = $20/per day COSISTENTLY.

SEO is always changing and as an internet marketer you have to change with that to win. You can't stick with the same methods forever.

If only it was that easy for $1k :D

A thousand a month or day? Per month, that's easy for anyone into this for 3-12 months if they're actually doing some action everyday as well as acquiring knowledge.

I'd also say, bounce rate it something obvious.
If Google sees that visitors are finding nothing useful on your website, they leave very quickly, Google does not want low quality websites.

That's a correlation that I see people make all the time, and perhaps google themselves make that correlation, but it's simply not true in all situations. As an example, any list of links would have a high bounce rate.

Likewise, if google does a very good job of what it is attempting to do and sends a visitor to one page filled with exactly the information that the user was looking for, then they wouldn't have any reason to go looking through other pages of the same site and consequently should have a high bounce rate because the page is a good match for their query.

My goal: Make at least $100 into my bank account in 2012. I've been in IM for 3 years and have barely earned a penny. That's why I set my targets low so I won't be disappointed

Google is trying to make itself able to "read" I believe and will eventually be able to tell gibberish from actual english to a higher degree. So I'd spend more time spinning WELL. That is my MAIN prediction. Beware of it.
i agree.. just a few weeks ago Mcutts posted that they were doing some "testing" against that.

I don't think so any changes will occur in SEO but obviously as time moves on new things are coming more better than the old ones.

Google will follow. They will benefit LARGE authority websites, with deep linking, popular 2.0 websites and BIG information websites. I think MNS will begin to die out.

So, I'd make your MNS into ANS (Authority niche sites).

Anyone agree?

^i agree with this 100%. theyve been heading in that direction for the past year
