Hi,

I'm setting up a Shopify store, I know this is probably a stupid question.

But is the attached photo good tags for my product? a wooly hat

I searched google adwords for tags on 'wooly hat' then I saved them in a list and entered them here.

Any help would be great, thanks

P.S don't ban me if I'm not allowed to do a thread asking something, sorry

This is a guess as I am just starting out on this myself--but I have been reading everything I can find. "Hat" is used many times within a small amount of text. Keyword density isn't what it used to be and can lead to negative attributions.

(As I am learning too--please correct me or add to it, if I am missing a piece.)

Google is smarter than that you can get:
Best hat
warm hat
hat for women

just by having all those words in a sentence: Best warm hat for Women.

Also I highly suggest a readable metadescription, you want to entice people to click the ad, not write the ad for robots like in 2005. Create a description for users using the above to snag all the kws.

Like the above, try to make your description readable.

If you can't find any Adwords description, look on Pinterest for pin's description. Look for the most popular pins, those with thousands of repins. They might give you some inspiration. ;)

Your meta is for people to see and doesn't affect your SEO greatly. For SEO purposes, you should include your main keyword once in your meta and make the rest of the text something that will grab the organic visitors attention. The majority of the SEO should be done in the description part of your product, as the text there can greatly influence your rankings.
