What is your experience with the following domains, which one performs better in the eyes of Google/Search engines.
lets say people are searching for " This Site" on google

Wich one would be better?

This-Site.com
Thissite.com

no difference for seo like @praetserge knows
the choice is made for human aesthetics
personally im not a fan of hyphens in domain either.

I am in the hunt for a domain and namecheap has an option to add SSL addon and i am hosting my site on cloudways which i could get free lets encrypt SSL. In terms of SEO or any other advantages, is there a big difference or you would go with Lets encrypt free version ?
 
Thissite.com would be good , both fits well its about the keywords you target over mate .
 
I don't think it matters much these days for SEO whether you have the hyphen or not.

I prefer a name without the hyphen though.

The domain without hyphen is better and easy to remember for me.
 
I would Prefer Thissite.com

Again. Free or Paid SSL has no advantage in terms of SEO.
 
EMDs have lost their significance
In terms of SEO, search intent stands out
 
both perform good , its matter how quality SEO optimized your site is to users .
 
In this case, that's not an issue. When caching brand names, do not add hyphens.
 
I think both are a good no-issue for these. but the second one is quite good, personally, I don't care about hyphens because it won't matter.
 
It matters on bing that what terms are in your domain. Not for google. For google, if you want your site to appear from the domain keyword, a proper GMB optimization is needed if it's a business. And if it's a blog, regular publishing, some age and schema markup optimization is required. Just my experience, not generalising it.
