SEO Advice needed - 301 redirects and orginal links from same source going to one site

Hi there,

Hopefully someone can help me with the following case:

Website 1: a long existing website niche with a lot of backlinks.
Website 2: a quite new website with a few backlinks not a lot of history

Website 1 got 301 redirected to website 2.

We would like to use our same linkbuilding sheet that has was used for website 1. This would mean that we have 2 links from one source. One link will be a redirect through website 1 and the other link will be a direct link to website 2.

Will this be beneficial for our linkbuilding or would Google penalize these kind of workarounds?

As long you are doing 301 there is no problem doing this. I just did this for 3 weeks ago, Google has indexed even more pages as before and no warnings what so ever. I must say, the content is only on 1 domain the new one and on the old domain there is a 301 redirect!
