Sending 1000s cold emails/day

A self-hosted server is the best way. After the initial setup costs and warm-up periods its about $35 a month to send 100K emails.

So you are looking at 1000 emails per day which is = 30k emails per month.

This is perfectly do able with either an existing SMTP provider or you build your own and self-host the mailer application too.

AWS SES still profitable? We have not had much luck the last 6 mo. Think mails going straight to spam.

There are much cheaper options. I suggest you to search for tutorials here on BHW using search function.

it is very expensive i have found one that costs $99 250k emails

Try Amazon SES or Gmail SMTP, they'll work for what you need.

Find a group in the same space you can warm up your emails for each other for free. You create a warm up list, which you send the email to from your server, then you open each others emails and reply daily for a week. 20-30 people is fine

Or you can use a warm up service, that comes at a cost though.

They use specialized tools and services.

Essentially, they subscribe to massive databases (like Apollo.io or ZoomInfo), use automated software to scrape websites for contact info, or buy targeted email lists directly from data brokers.
 
Using LinkedIn Sales Navigator or scraping tools to extract emails from profiles.
 
Don’t use self hosted server. It’ll go into spam. Use SES or Mailgun or professional server within the big company monopolies that exist. Otherwise it’s spam all day long.
 
also with ses or mailgun you dont have inbox
there is a reason for that
