When I posted my video on youtube to just talk about kobe's death, I got to the part where it asked me if I wanted to monetize it or not. I chose monetize but I felt a little bad just for doing that (even though I won't make any money from it since not enough views), but the thought of that made me feel like what you guys are saying.....yeah it's a crazy world we live in now where you know lots of people were trying to cash in on it by making youtube videos and hope it goes viral so they can make their $500 - $2000 video.

If that's your way of thinking, maybe we should stop paying funeral parlors, funeral homes, memorial parks, etc. and try to DIY everything so people won't make money out of dead people.
Not really, if you know how to play the game. If you don't have the creativity to "rig" the game to play on your side, then a lawsuit is what you really will get. And besides, if you play it properly, it will be very difficult to sue a person if you can't identify his name, plus it will be under jurisdiction of one's country he is in. US can't continue putting their noses on every other country's business and control them like they own the country.

So it's ok to make money on someone elses death - just because 150,000 people die each day?
I really don't understand that argument. How is it relevant that others die and how does that justify the whole thing?

What I wanted to point out with my initial message was that it is ridiculous (at least to me), what a fuzz people make about a death of a person (any person, in this case a famous one who had a great life and enjoyed riches and abundance), and anything connected to it (for example selling merchandise), when in fact tens of thousands of people die in much more horrible ways each day. And they didn't have the life of Kobe. Yet you won't find a notice about them in the news...
In fact, if people didn't make such a fuzz about Kobe's death, there wouldn't be a business opportunity OP wants to pursue. And if not him, others will pursue it. Because people want stuff with Kobe, and when there's a demand there will be a supply.
At the end of the day our world turns around money. Death of a famous person is also a business. Not my invention, not something I am happy about. But that's just how it is.

Yes indeed.1. Get a badass design/designs ready, and then upload to your POD platform.
2. Test with FB ads campaigns, and see what campaign is profitable.
3. Kill the unprofitable campaigns, and scale the profitable ones.
4. Do it now before the trend dies out.
NB. if you do not know how FB Ads work and how to optimise your campaigns, then please stay away, else you may lose your shirt.
