Scraping

Scraper got blocked on Amazon. Could it be because of IP, or anything else?

  • Captcha, and the Amazon website getting updated could be the problem.

Hello there!

So I've been scraping emails from reviewers on Amazon. However, the scraper got suddenly blocked.

1. Do you guys think the cause might be that Amazon has blocked the IP address?

2. To scrape email-id, I needed to login. But logging in was difficult job because they were using Captcha. So what I did was, instead of logging in, scraper will create another account and fetch email-id using that account. Amazon may have now updated their websites, could that be a problem as well?

Anyone who could lead me into the right direction, please? Thanks in advance!

Personally, I think that it's the IP address. Use good quality proxies.

Probably IP. Did you use proxies? You should always hide your real IP while scraping the web.

@MisterF @BassTrackerBoats, Please take an appropriate action about this ad reply.

About the OP's question, Did you create another account with the same IP that you were using on your first captcha required account?! If so Your IP might be flagged.
