I'm trying to replicate this build:

3:10 - 7:20

Any idea how tf he's managing to scrape so much data from IG?

apify/instagram-reel-scraper

I've built a small database of IG users, and the apify reels scraper works well. However it costs $2.30 per 1000 reels scraped. So even if you only had a database of 1000 creators and you pulled 5 reels per run, that's 5000 reels scraped. Which is $11.50 for a single run, do that every third day and it's about $115 per month.

Nath has a DB of 100k creators, this scraper would cost $230 per day ($6,900 per month) to pull 1 reel from each account. But it would be more like 3-4x that if you ran it 1x/day and pulled 3-4 reels, in order to dodge the pinned reels.

I know it seems dumb to pull 5 reels, but it pulls pinned reels which isn't particularly useful. So my workaround is to pull 5 reels (you'll always get the pinned ones included) and to perform it every 3 days, hoping at least 1 new reel has been uploaded to their IG.

Based on this, I assume he's not using the apify reel scraper.

If you plan on replicating this build, you can go to the "Hire a freelancer" section and get someone to reach out to you there. I just want to clarify, you want someone to code it, or are you a coder?

I'm wanting to do this myself, I know JS, Py and have some experience with make.com and API's. My main challenge is figuring out how to scrape many accounts, once daily, without IG blocking my efforts.
