Hey gang,
Hope you're all doing well.
I am looking to start using a web scraper for whitehat SEO and gaining insight into competitors.
Firstly thinking about using Scrapebox or marketing miner subscription.
Does anyone have experience using Scrapebox on mac? Or anyone experience marketing miner?
I see no thread about Marketing Miner, is Scrapebox like the monopoly around here?
Cheers!

Mac works but Catalina is not currently supported. It will be but there is no current ETA.
However on the whole I would say it like this. IF it works it works. However if there are crashes, then mac has basically no error reporting so scrapebox support needs to replicate the issue themselves, which can get tricky.
Mac, in combination with RAD Studio (what scrapebox for mac is written with), doesn't always play predicably.
Meaning when you compile the code for windows and run it on 1000 windows machine, you get the same outcome. It works or it fails, 1000 times.
When you compile the code for mac, mac is a bit random. If you run it on 1000 machines. 980 of them will work more or less the same, but 10 of them will have random 1 off issues and the other 10 will have similar issues.
So sometimes its hard if there are issues, because they are random, 1 off issues, and with no error logging, its challenging.
so mac can work just fine and great, lots of people use it, but if you are just wanting the totally known route windows is more consistent and has excellent error reporting, else if you are one of the 980 of the 1000 on mac, then your good to go.
Worst case try and see, and then if there are issues contact support and they can work thru it.
As for scraping news, I answerd in the other thread you started.
