Scammed by greatxcourses.com (stay away!)

Hey, just a quick public service announcement.

Few days ago I was looking for a Sam Woods AI copywriting course. I stumbled upon on a sub-reddit called GreatXCourses where the owner recommended heading over to their website to get it.

Followed the link, scrolled to the bottom where I found the call-to-action to get their VIP package to download the course:

Clicked on this and I was redirected to https://www.greatxcourses.com/vip-gold-membership-
how-to-join-benefits/ with instructions on how to send them the funds.

Sent the funds via ETH and emailed them. They got back to me with a couple of links to a bunch of random courses. I asked them about the Sam Woods course and they told me that I bought the VIP gold package and to get access to that course I need a vip premium package lol. I was then told that the membership for vip premium is full until next year and of course no refunds :)

So yea, stay away from these bait-and-switch scam artists. As you can see from the pictures the owner posted the link to the AI course 6 days ago. If it's not available until next year then why make a post about it? Also the link on the course page automatically re-directed me to the vip gold package url so there is no way I could have know any of this upfront.

The fact they charge for a course/product they do not own was your red flag to run away, hope it was a small amount you sent, never make this mistake again.
 
Yea, super sketchy. Paid $69 so not the end of the world but still sucks cause I had been looking for that specific course for a while.

I am so stupid. I fell for this too, as I was looking for this exact same course. Got scammed.

It's not the end of the world, it's just 70 bucks. I don't care. But I need to be more careful.

They sent this email: "There is no scam at all... It is available for VIP Premium members. VIP Premium will reopen much probably at the end of the year, when current 1 year memberships end. Prices will be set depending on the new demand, but since you're already VIP GOLD you'll get a decent discount for sure."

Here's their original email when I inquired:

"Hi and thanks for your interest in joining our VIP GOLD community.

We confirm that all our courses (including Sam Wood's) are complete and ready for instant download (they're hosted on Mega & google drive).

Note that our courses are already zipped, we won't download and unpack it just for a screenshot sorry.

Kind regards"

STAY AWAY, 100% SCAM!
 
The link clearly said "free-download-course" and when you clicked it, did you find any free download links? NO

This was enough to inform you how dishonest they are. And even after this dishonest and deceptive behavior, you proceeded to pay on an unknown website, with crypto?

It looks like you don't care about your money.

Yeah it appears several of us fell for these scam artist cunts.

I think I fell for it because I've purchased from similar sites and they have always been legit.

Lesson is if they don't show you PROOF of owning the course and they make some bullshit excuse like "our courses are zipped we won't do that for a screenshot" then stay the fuck away from them because it's a scam.

Pissed me off but I learned my lesson, not the end of the world.

They used the free download as a bait to mislead people
 
I was about to subscribed to this to get this Seminal Blockbuster Writing course from Michael Simmons I have been craving for for years:

You could open up a dispute here so even if they don't return your money at least they're going to get banned.

DO NOT give Greatxcourses.com or GreyHatMafia your money scams...!
 
They could have told you the course wasn't available before you paid or indicated it on their page.
 
Be careful, the same guys are operating other sites such as coursesrich.
Those guys may have earned millions in scamming people. Not sure how we can stop them...

O gosh! This is unbelievable, was looking into their courses last week. Thank God we can cross check them here
