Typically no way around a deletion especially if Youtube themselves said so. I'd be quite critical with anyone who claims they can get it back regardless of what YT themselves already stated. Best way is still the appeal system and finger's crossed with that.

I had the same thought, and I was about to drop the matter because I contacted YouTube support, and they told me that recovery is not possible.

There are certain specifics since not all Youtube accounts are created equal (lol). Good you found a solution that worked for you! It's super tricky as is and as rare as it goes so it's also best to keep that for future reference.

I also accidentally deleted a video, I contacted support and got the video back. Lucky me!
