In some cases, affiliate marketers may encounter Facebook accounts where the phone number is the only confirmed contact method, and no email is attached. Below is a methodical way to remove such a phone number by adding a trusted contact and waiting for Facebook to authorize an alternative verification option.

Step-by-Step Guide

Go to the Account Center

Visit: https://accountscenter.facebook.com/personal_info
Click on "Contact Info".

Add a New Contact Method

Under "Add ne contact", input a phone number or email address you currently have access to.

Wait for the Trust Period

Allow 2–3 weeks for the newly added contact information to be recognized by Facebook as trusted. This is a crucial step, as it enables additional verification options later.

Return to the Account Center

After the 2–3 week trust period, revisit: https://accountscenter.facebook.com/personal_info

Select the Phone Number to Remove

Locate the phone number previously confirmed via SMS and click “Delete number”.

Confirm Deletion

In the confirmation window, click “Delete”.

Use an Alternative Verification Method

Due to the waiting period, Facebook should now present the option to “Try another way” for verification.

Select a Trusted Contact

Choose the email or phone number you added earlier and click “Continue”.

Enter the Verification Code

Input the code sent to your selected contact and confirm by clicking “Continue”.

Completion

The original phone number will now be successfully removed from the account.
