Relationship advice from BHW

I know BHW is good in relationship/dating advices, so:

My best friend sent his girlfriend (8 years together) to Rome, study Italian for a year.
Spent a lot of money, even got into debts.

It's been 5 months and suddenly this bitch met some imposing, tall and handsome 55 years old Italian man and decided that it is her fate.

He is some artist and knows all well known film producers and etc.

My friend is having nightmares due to this situation and does not know what to do.

So what to do? Go to Italy and beat the shit out the oldman? Or quit all communication and wait until she is back?

First of all, don't know where you got the idea BHW is good for relationship advice.

Second, people are free to do what they want. So are you. Live your life, it's too short.
 
Its not the old mans fault. It wouldn't bring anything to beat him up. Its the fault of the girl for taking advantage of your friend and now cheating/messing with him.

Advice to your friend: Learn the lesson, move on. The old man is probably just taking advantage of her as well. Promising her stuff etc, playing with her dreams just to get what he wants (probably a young good looking girl on his side). Not worth it in my opinion.

To all the other guys here: Don't spend too much money on girls or even put yourself in debt. You own nobody anything.
 
Come on dude, use some common sense.
He sends her to Italy and she messes around with another guy behind his back?

1) Don't beat this guy up, maybe he doesn't even know about your friend
2) Your friend needs to cut off all his contact and move on if she is messing around with this guy from Italy
3) Stop wasting your time on people that don't value you as much as you value them.

I am sure when the old man will be done with her, and all her "fantasies" or luxuries will be over, she will come running back to this guy.

He could not have prevented or do anything about it. Can only accept and continue his life. Life is all about building acceptance and moving on.

Not accepting or not moving on its 10x worst for one's happiness, than what it actually happened.

so let me get this straight. They were together for 8 years and then she went to study abroad for a year and 5 months later she met an old italian dude, who has a high social status and decided to leave your friend? Is that correct, or are they still together and the old italian dude is just a friend/acquaintance and your friend is just exaggerates the situation?

she told him that she fell in love with the dude and can't handle this
Italian dude is sophisticated and romantic and my friend is simple and does not give her what she really want

Shame he had invested so much time and money into the chick... but at least he didn't marry her and have kids with her.

Cut her lose and move on with your life / "your friend's life".
