Reddit post scheduler development. Does using reddit's API make sense or will decrease the reach?

Hi!
I'm very happy to publish my first post here and I'm very much looking forward to your responses.

I'm planning to create my own reddit post scheduler. I've heard some opinions that using reddit's API for that might ultimately not be a good idea because it supposedly might negatively affect the reach of posts even when using good proxies. Is that true or is this bullshit? Other than that, are there any more drawbacks of basing my software on reddit's API that I should consider?

In the case that creating a scheduler with reddit's API is not the way to go, how to develop it then? If you could summarize some key technologies, techniques or solutions to implement, I'd be thankful.

Wishing you all the best and thank you for reading that post. I hope something useful for us all will result out of it.

Copy their http requests, either micking a browser or their mobile app.

do you think there is a market for a Reddit scheduler? or its just for your own use?

Thanks for your reply. It's once again that I hear about https requests in regards to that. I researched that and will research it even much more in the future. Thanks!

There's definitely a market. I mod a mid-size subreddit, and I would have loved a tool like this back when I was building up the subreddit and its audience.

I cannot imagine myself building a subreddit without a tool like this. Kudos to you.

I made reddit scheduling bot on Browser Automation Studio. No API is needed, no proxies. I run it for years without any bans. BAS is amazing software
