Ranking website with only no-follow links

Keep in mind, Google values twitter accounts differently, Matt Cutts tweeting the page and a new account will show dramatically different results even in Google. Most tweets have little effect, but authoritive profiles do. Also keep in mind, one low value link may not even index a page in 2 days anyway. Further more, there is no guarantee the page you spun would get indexed even if it was crawled 10 times a day. Some things to consider.

I understand, we are just doing little tests to see results. The twitter account is brand new, no followers. Just 1 single tweet that got shortened. The content is spun, but high quality and readable. No ads on the page, no videos or images. Have some other tests I will do using no-follow links if it isnt indexed within 24 hours. If it DOES get indexed, I will delete the tweet to see the effect it has.

New account, no other tweets, my gut is it won't do anything. I believe (but haven't extensively tested this) that accounts like that provide zero value, as they are 99.9% likely to be spammers. I would guess Google has this in their algorithm to some degree, but never know for sure.
If it does get indexed, deleting the tweet would likely have no effect on the page. It would factor in the rankings (although doubtful the page would rank off a singe link like that) but should cause a page to get deindexed.

Something was pointed at it, or you submitted a sitemap with something like Yoast's Analytics plugin or a site map plugin.

The page is now indexed in Google.
Created page 2 days ago, with NO internal linking to this page (separate html page).
The page has 4 external links to Authority sites (Twitter/Wikipedia/YouTube/Google).
The page has 4 spun paragraphs (654 words total).
Created brand new Twitter account, followed 15 people, got 2 auto-followers.
No URL in the bio. No picture. No other tweets.
Tweeted the link to my page. Twitter shortened the URL using t.co,and put rel=\"nofollow\ tags around the tweeted url.
I also pinged the Twitter account page.
I just checked and I am indexed. This page sits at #2 for a "site:website.com" search, with my homepage ranking #1. Other pages on the site with tons of backlinks rank below this new page.
Will keep this updated if the site disappears from the ranks. I want to wait up to 48 hours before I delete the original tweet from twitter.

What is funny is that people take seriously the fact that g00gle says nofollow doesn't pass link juice. Seriously, how can anyone listen to this Mat Cuts guy. Have you even noticed that he talks about g00gle in third person? In some videos he even says "we think that google does this and this..". Wait a minute, shouldn't you know those things for a FACT? He is either a complete idiot, or he doesn't want to share anything useful. Most likely, both.

In short that article states that if a page doesn't have enough pagerank that it will end up in Google's supplemental index.
As for explaining why your brand new site has been indexed without links, have you thought about certain tools indexing your pages?
Wordpress automatically gets pinged
Google toolbar, each visit you do sends a ping to Google, i'm not sure if they use the ping for there search though
Alexa bar, also sends a ping and creates a page with your link if your site is not already in alexa.

No follow is what google would like people to add to a links code if it has been bought, because otherwise you are selling a link that passes page rank, causing an artificial ranking.
They don't pass page rank. As i said, get some high pr no follows then some high pr do follow and you can see yourself.
They will help in SEO ONLY because google will like to see in your link profile natural activity such as social links which are no follow etc.
You would know if you had some high pr no follows, they do nothing.
As i said, i had a home page PR8 link from a site linking to some of the weakest competition ever and it did nothing.
Anyone who goes out of their way to get a no follow link is a brain dead moron, especially if they pay money for them lol

I disagree as do many other high profile SEO experts. Granted most people believe no follow means no page rank passed, but in my testing I have seen that it can and frequently does, although at much less than a do follow.
The system is not black & white, there are well over 200 factors that play into rankings.

When you post, the post is probably pinged. That's enough to get Google to take a look at it and if it likes what it sees, you get indexed. Plus once you get the first post or domain indexed, Google will come back to your site about once a month whether their are links going to it or not and it will crawl the entire site.

If a no follow pr 8 link can't make the website it links to move in weak serps it's safe to say no page rank was passed.
You are confusing cause and effect. Your increase in rank would most likely be the no follows being in your profile making it look natural, not pasing physical PR.
