Just did a test on one of my sites. Put some nice spun content, around 800-1000 words, and OUTBOUND links to google/twitter/youtube/wikipedia, then I tweeted the page. There are NO internet/external links pointing to this page, just the tweet on twitter, and that tweet is actually a shortened t.co link which redirects to my page. The page has been live for 48 hours already, but I just did the tweet 4 minutes ago. Will let people know if it gets indexed or what happens.
Keep in mind, Google values twitter accounts differently, Matt Cutts tweeting the page and a new account will show dramatically different results even in Google. Most tweets have little effect, but authoritive profiles do. Also keep in mind, one low value link may not even index a page in 2 days anyway. Further more, there is no guarantee the page you spun would get indexed even if it was crawled 10 times a day. Some things to consider.
I understand, we are just doing little tests to see results. The twitter account is brand new, no followers. Just 1 single tweet that got shortened. The content is spun, but high quality and readable. No ads on the page, no videos or images. Have some other tests I will do using no-follow links if it isnt indexed within 24 hours. If it DOES get indexed, I will delete the tweet to see the effect it has.
How you guys explain that my domains get indexed with no links pointing to it? I used shared hosting at Hostgator and I never do any effort to index them for the 1st week and all of them got indexed within that same week. How you explain that?
Says you, but in actually that isn't the case. Try it yourself.
And Bing is yahooyahoo is bing
Can't post the URL but found this when googling to determine if I should try to nofollow my footer entries for privacy policy, terms of service, etc.The essential thing you need to know is that nofollow links don?t help sites rank higher in Google?s search results.

There are two kinds of people
People that will tell you that nofollow will not pass rank.
And people that sell services that have a lot of nofollow links and will loose business if people knew the truth.
Use your mind most people here make a living selling services in a world where nofollow is becoming the dominant link.

No follow can pass page rank, it has been proven many times by many people. But more importantly, no follow links build a more natural profile and that is as important as passing page rank.
No follow is what google would like people to add to a links code if it has been bought, because otherwise you are selling a link that passes page rank, causing an artificial ranking.
They don't pass page rank. As i said, get some high pr no follows then some high pr do follow and you can see yourself.
They will help in SEO ONLY because google will like to see in your link profile natural activity such as social links which are no follow etc.
You would know if you had some high pr no follows, they do nothing.
As i said, i had a home page PR8 link from a site linking to some of the weakest competition ever and it did nothing.
Anyone who goes out of their way to get a no follow link is a brain dead moron.

I disagree as do many other high profile SEO experts. Granted most people believe no follow means no page rank passed, but in my testing I have seen that it can and frequently does, although at much less than a do follow.
The system is not black & white, there are well over 200 factors that play into rankings.
