Random internal links, bad for SEO?

Not recommended. This will confuse the algorithm. Internal Links are best handled manually

Hi,
Your approach has pros and cons for SEO:
  1. Site Structure Stability: Google prefers a consistent internal linking structure. Randomly changing links on each page load can confuse crawlers and weaken SEO. so, it's better to keep important products linked consistently.
  2. User Experience Matters: Random links can also confuse users, which can negatively impact SEO. A stable and intuitive linking structure is better for both users and search engines.

My Recommendation:

Instead of random links, group similar products and rotate them in a controlled way. This keeps the site organized while still offering variety without affecting SEO negatively.

huh? I don't speak this language :)

crawlers crawl link to link [so if you gave random links then its not effective for your websites ]

Just a quick question.

I have an ecommerce website and on each product page I have internal links to other similar products.

Let's say that a product has 100 similar products. Adding internal links to 100 products would look really spammy, so instead of linking to all of them I randomly add links to 10 similar products on every page load.

Would this be bad for SEO? Every time the Google bot visit a product page there will be different internal links.

I am thinking that there might be to scenarios:
1. It's good because it will trigger some kind of freshness factor.
2. It's bad because the site structure changes every time the Google bot visit the page.
I think using random internal links on each page can have mixed effects on SEO.
Basically likes or value fresh content, so varying links might be seen positively. However, inconsistent internal linking could confuse search engines about your site's structure, potentially diluting link equity and making it harder for bots to crawl.
A balanced approach is best like consider linking to a fixed set of related products and occasionally rotating a few to maintain freshness without compromising clarity. that's what I know about internal linking. I hope you will get the best approach according to your niche.
