Looks like it´s not the PC but the way you use it or what task you´re running with it.I bought a new one after every thread. But it still becomes slow as it gets old. So I should consider buying a new pc every year now?
I bought my PC like 10 years ago and when I did I made sure I had a decent PC for many years to come. I still have the same processor (i7) and I ALWAYS use an SSD as the main HD, and I just upgrade it to 16gb of memory.
So, unless you´re running some crazy resource-demanding tasks like 3Digng or gaming, I don´t think you will need to upgrade your PC every year.
I agree 100% with most of the comments saying if you have a PC with 16gb of memory then upgrading the SSD is definitely the best choice to further increase your PC speed.
But, again, it highly depends on what you do with it.
