    CPI is not cost per impression. It is cost per install. And CPM technically means cost per mille. Cost per thousand/1k is CPT.

    CPI is cost per impression in most cases, for installs it's PPI usually.
    And mille = thousand

    mille - Wiktionary -
    "[h=3]Numeral[/h]mille

    1. thousand, a thousand, one thousand
    2. Presque mille enfants y habitent. — Almost a thousand children live there.

    I'm aware of what mille means. You are missing the point, which is to be expected, I guess. However, the "m" in CPM is mille, not thousand as you say. There is a separate acronym for that: CPT. As already stated. They mean the same thing, but you may as well provide accurate information.

    CPI is cost per install. Costs are rarely factored down to single impressions, only thousands of impressions, making cost per impression pointless and rarely used. It is cost per install.
