Question Regarding Domain,SSL,Hosting Provider

Hi To BHW Community
I was quite inactive for long time, really need advice on below points.I am starting new website on technology niche like programming articles . I am buying domain and ssl certificate considering that google these days prefer ssl domain. So i checked few ssl providers now there are really lot of options out there like Positive SSL, comodo SSL,positive SSL wildcard etc. There are also stuff like SiteLock which protects your site from bots,maleware.

1. Should i buy .net or .com in this case ? Both are available. Considering i want to apply for adsense with it.
2. What you suggest about SSL certificate and sitelock , does it help in long run ? Positive SSL, comodo SSL,positive SSL wildcard which one you recommend ?
3. Also If i buy domain from one provider and ssl certificate from other and hosting also third party, will that work ? or should i buy domain and ssl from same company ?

Help is really appreciated.

1.Both .com and .net are top-level domains. Opt for them over free sub-domains.
2.Essential SSL is better and it is unbreakable so far. Consider that over the options you have provided as they are broken in the past.
3. Many options are available today. Mix and match services is the best choice so far. Just do a thorough research before you opt fro one.

1. I would go for the .com its alot easier to remember for people. Or get both, they are just a few bucks per year.

It is also possible to get SSL for free, eg. from Cloudflare if you do not want to spend money on one.

1. .com is most preferable one
2. SSL is a good choice
3. Go with the best in both

Also, cloudflare offers free SSL so don't need to dish out anything right now.

Go .com and on SSL the wildcard option is great as you can cover your whole site and any subdomains but it costs more so ask yourself if the cost is worth it. Personally I buy certs from 3rd parties but some host cos give good deals - again it comes down to price and the cert you want to use.
