[Question] How can I fix this WP Elementor plugin error?

Hi, I face a problem on Elementor Plugin after clicking on the 'update' button. It says, 'Save Error 403'.

Can anyone tell me how can I fix this?

You mean you cannot log into the backend of WordPress anymore after installing it? If so, you need to delete that plugin from your site's cPanel.

The problem is only with the edited elements with Elementor can't be saved and the error 'Save Error 403' appears right after clicking on the 'update' button.

Are you using the free or pro version of Elementor?

403 - Forbidden - That means you can't access that element, you don't have permissions to do so.

I will suggest going into Cpanel -> fila manager -> plugins - elementor -> right click or permissions (chmod) 755.

If you have the Wordfence plugin, disable that plugin for 1 minute and test again - if that's the problem - you need to set up the firewall mode to -> Learning

Free Version

Just deactivate security plugin until update page content. Activate security plugin once complete editing.

Where I can find the security plugin?

1 - What version of PHP are you using? Login to cpanel scroll down to 'Software' section and select 'MultiPHP Manager' to change 1 specific domain or use the 'Select PHP Version' to set PHP for ALL sites. In most cases, you should be using version 7.3 (if you have multiple sites use the manager for only the one that has the issue)

2 - Disable ALL plugins - do you still have the issue? If yes then change your theme back to 'Twenty Seventeen' or 'Twenty Nineteen'. Test again.... do you still have the issue?

3 - Are you running on Linux or Windows? If Linux, follow what @lorentzo suggested of setting the correct permissions. Note that you need to select 'public_html' from the left side and then select the site name on the right-hand side then select 'permissions' and the type 755 into the boxes shown. If window... shouldn't be a problem.

4 - If none of these test don't help the issue, open a support ticket with your hosting company and let them take look
