Question - Guidance on making amazon authority site

Hey guys, can anyone point me in the right direction for learning how to make professional looking amazon authority sites that are SEO friendly and would convert well? I'm not trying to spend hundreds on having this made so I think its best if i learn myself.

Here's what im looking for:
- recommendations for best themes/templates/setup (1 niche ofcourse optimized for several keywords pertaining to that niche)
- recommendations for amazon product placement
- recommendations for article placement (i will be targetting several keywords so I'll be having several articles written)
- advice on overall website look

If anyone can show me samples of good sites, i'd really appreciate it. I'm not looking to create anything too complex with many pages so keep that in mind.

Another suggestion:I think you should use 99% of your energy/money in keyword research and just 1% for all other aspects such as theme,placement,articles and so on.
