I POSTED THIS ON OTHER FORUM/SUB-FORUM HERE ON BHW. I CAN'T DELETE THE THREAD SO I'M BASICALLY COPYING AND PASTING MY ORIGINAL POST.

Hi guys, I have a question regarding YouTube ads.

Who has a YouTube channel here that is not for CPA or black hat? I want to know your experience on using YouTube's/Google ads to grow your channel. I have a channel myself that I've been trying to grow organically for the past (almost) 2 years.

I am thinking of paying google ads to promote my channel and to give awareness and hopefully subscribers+viewers.

Is it worth it? Currently my channel is sitting at 5.6k subscribers, I'm on the Computer and Tech niche and educational vids about theoretical knowledge about computers.

I am down to pay google $20(big value in my country) for the duration of the campaign that will run for 7 days. I will not use in-stream ads but only the clickable ads that you can see on the right side of the watch page above the recommended section.

What do you think? Will it give my channel some/lot of traction? I am willing to even go $40 if some of you can back up or justify the greatness of promoting a channel through google ads. Because what I was thinking is that I will spend $20 on google ads and the remaining $20 on Facebook ads(also if some of you knows or has any experience regarding growing a YouTube channel through Facebook ads, please let me know).

SORRY FOR THE LONG MESSAGE. I JUST WANT TO GIVE A DETAILED QUESTION SO I WON'T BE ASKING IN THE REPLIES(HOPEFULLY LOL).

I have invested at least $5k worth of Google ads traffic to a YouTube channel just to test if it will do anything to gain organic traction and yes it will but not much.
You need to be spending at least 4 figures monthly to see any kind of result from Google ads - > YouTube because you are merely buying subs which may or may not stick depending on your content.

Short answer: $20 will do NOTHING for your channel. Save the money.

$5k?! That's a lot of money. And also another thing to note, I am not targeting world wide. I am only targeting the country that I live in since the language that I'm speaking on my channel is my native language(which is not english). So do you think I still need to invest 4 figures worth or $$$ in order to gain even a little bit of traffic?

$20 or even $2000 is not enough to do anything to your channel, period.

I have just recently spent 27e on my new youtube channel, and the short answer is it got me-

I am also targeting one small (3M~) country and no specific interest targeting (broad niche). Hope that answers your question.

I spoke to one YouTuber and he told me that he uses Russian ad account with roubles as currency, because it gives him a feature to bid much less than with USD as currency. Just because the minimal bid in USD is 0.01 and that is about 0.73 RUR, so he can pay less than one cent per view.

To clarify, he promoted his videos in the CIS

It's good. But it's not a quick return, the ad only serves to give the channel a quicker start, don't expect a quick return on investment.
