    Hi everyone...

I'm totally new to IM and looking forward to my first sale. I picked out a niche that I think is popular and has a lot of money being spent on it, but is not totally saturated. I threw up a quick blog about it with my affiliate links in it and did a ton of link building.

However, I was trying to avoid spending any of my actual money on this project until I made a little bit. But since my free blog and free link building has not made me any sales (or even very many page impressions :() I've come around to the idea that I'm going to have to look at this as an INVESTMENT. They always say: takes money to make money.

So I buckled down and purchased both a domain name and a hosting package today. My question is, is there a way to get my existing blog on to that domain? (it's currently hosted with Blogger) I can export my blog as an .xml file, but it looks like that's only meant to be imported back into another blog service, like Wordpress or something.

    - Does Blogger or Wordpress offer a site-building tool for webmasters who have their sites hosted elsewhere, or do I have to buy the domain through Blogger or Wordpress to use their editing interface?

    - Is there a piece of software anyone can recommend that will let me make professional looking blogs quickly? As in, picking and choosing a template like you do on Wordpress?

I'd really appreciate any solutions or advice. Thanks!

Blogger and Wordpress are fairly simple to understand and navigate through. With Blogger, you can export your entire blog and import it onto Wordpress. I have done it before without any issues.

**Make sure you are logged into your gmail/blogger account.
Then in a new tab..login to Wordpress

Wordpress > Sidebar > Tools> Import > Choose Blogger> Install Importer> Grant Access > Then select the blog you want to import.

To make the Wordpress look professional... do a few searches on Google for free Wordpress templates that you can download and install a new theme.

    Wordpress> Sidebar> Apearance> Themes > Install New > Upload.

    Hope this helps!
