today i had a little scare,
i have a new web site registered about a week ago. not using any NULLed or "free" themes, everything is up to date, i have "loginizer security".

i got email notifications for fail attempts to login, (SURELY WASNT ME). 12 failed attempts, 6 lockouts from same IP. IP is from Ukraine.

question: is there any further security precautions i can take? or do i just blacklist the ip and move on?

I think it would help as it examines list of active plugins for unusual filenames and searches the files on your website, and the posts and comments tables of your database for anything suspicious.

Use any Google Authenticator plugin. Problem solved!

That's what the above plugin exploit scanner does for you

You can install some security plugins like Login lockdown and some like login captcha
