The idea has crossed my mind, but I'm working 16-18 hours a day as it is, I just can't take on any more workload. One of the things you learn after a few years as an IT manager, actually formerly an IT director in my case, is that an off the shelf solution that does the job is usually a hell of a lot cheaper and easier to implement than a home grown one. Usually you use your in house talent to work on your internal systems and mods that nobody on the outside would know how to do because they are so specific to your own business.
That's the case with me, the last thing I want to do is stop my online marketing to develop a software tool from scratch. When I do code something these days, it's usually short and tightly focused on a given task. For example, earlier this week I coded up an app that does mass emailing from a list that my VA manually scrapes for me. I could afford to do that because it only took a few hours and it was very specific to my needs, I'd never find that on the outside.
But a wall poster is a lot more involved and I know there are some readily available. I would lose a hell of a lot more money in the time I took to do that than such a tool would cost to buy off the shelf. So if I can find one that meets my needs, I'd just as soon buy it. Of course, my first preference would be to obtain an open source one so I could make my own mods to it when necessary. But that's probably hard to come by in the IM world.

It's really going to depend on your country and how their laws interact with the outside world. Facebook is a US based company, but it's not uncommon for a US based company to go after a foreign one on their own turf, but it depends on which company we are talking about. If it's Western Europe, yeah FB might prevail in court, if it's Iran, forget it, they wouldn't even waste their time.

I completely agree with you! I am a programmer myself, but I simply do not have the time to create FB apps, so therefore I outsource most of the work that I need done. However, same as you, not too long ago I created an app to be able to easily convert FB account formats from FW to FFAP, and also formats for other customarily scripts/programs I have had designed.

We have just finished a new update yesterday. Now you can import accounts in FW into FFAP directly by the "Import" feature in FFAP.
What's new in FFAP 1.3.1 built on 2010.06.29.01:
1) New Feature: Added a new import account format "Email

Thank you for your response, so if i am from Asia, will they be able to shut me down? What if they sue my domain? should i shut it down or just ignore their warning.

It depends where you live in Asia. Unless you really piss them off, the chances of them coming after you are minute (even if you live in the states).

Lively, I just tried to import my accounts that I was using with FW into FFAP using the new account format you added. It does not load the account information properly. I have contacted your support team, and they said they will pass the issue along to you. However, I was curious if anyone else is having this problem? None of the account information is loaded into the correct fields. If you could fix this ASAP, I would greatly appreciate it!

This is exactly what I did, and it did not input the account information into the correct fields. I can show you a screen shot if you would like. Is there any way I can speak with you directly over a messenger service? I would only need to speak with you briefly. If you would not mind, please PM me with your messenger contact details. I am using Windows Server 2008 (64 bit).
I really would like to start using FFAP instead of FW, but it would be a huge hassle for me to manually import all of my FW accounts into FFAP one by one. Also, as I said previously, I spoke with your live 24/7 support team concerning this issue, and they could not figure out the problem (even after I showed them the screen shot). They also requested that I try to login to one of the accounts that was not loaded properly with FFAP. I did so, and the background of the account turned green, which means there was a problem logging in. Your support team thought it might have been my accounts or my proxies, but I knew this was not the case because I have been using these same accounts and the same exclusive proxies in FW for three-four months now. Furthermore, everything is working fine in FW as we speak. Your support team asked me to verify that it was not my accounts and/or proxies by manually logging into the account that failed to login with FFAP. I did so, and the account logged in fine, along with the proxy, just like I knew it would (since I have no problems with these accounts/proxies in FW). In conclusion, your support team said they would refer the bug to you, but I would like this solved ASAP; if I cannot speak with you directly and show you exactly what is happening, I do not think you will understand what is actually happening and it will be very hard for you to fix it if all you know is that the new format is "not working."
Please let me know how I can go about getting this fixed ASAP.
Once again, is anyone else having this issue while trying to import accounts with this new format?

As I said, some tools require a minimum I.Q. to operate. I'm not trying to imply that you don't meet that I.Q., but just because a "Blackhat" tool has the capability to complete a certain task to it's extremity, do you need to put every setting on full throttle for it to work?
This is where the need for a minimum I.Q. needs to interject and think that Hey, this "network" will ban me if I send 10,000 invites is states it in the sites TOS but my "Blackhat" tool allows me to send 1 million invites. Do I send 1 million invites and try to get away with it because, my tool allows me too? OR should I only send max 6,000 invites to stay under the radar?
As far as it being a "SPAM TOOL", spam is only spam when what your offering to the person isn't of any interest to them. Research your target audience and you will never have to think of money making Marketing Tools as SPAM TOOLS.
