I logged into my youtube account that I use for promoting Rude.com for the $1.00 sign ups and low and behold I have a notification from youtube to join the partnership program. Most of the video's I have uploaded didn't take off that well, except for 1 which is has thousands of views. I haven't used any friend adders or video view boosters, but the views are coming in anyways. I basically used this account for comment spamming, and have a pretty good domain name set up to redirect traffic to the rude.com sign up form. In fact I don't even comment spam anymore but I still get daily sign ups on rude.com by doing nothing at all.

I am interested in the youtube partner program but I wanted to be a partner on more legit whitehat terms by making original videos regularly that are entertaining and not related to adult sites and spamming.

Is this invitation from YouTube for partnership on 1 video or an invitation to be a full partner for everything I upload?

and if partnership is just for a single video is that likely to lead to full partnership in the future?

Can I have partnership on multiple youtube account with only 1 adsense account?

I'm nervously excited about the opportunity, but I would really appreciate a second opinion about how I should work this (I haven't accepted or declined the invitation yet).

If you need more info to give an educated recommendation my account as of this posting is like this:

Top Level .com website with redirect to rude.com

I didn't plan for this to happen so I want to make sure I play this right? Any suggestions?

Thanks

wow, 70 subs and 42k vid views and you got an invitation, well, its a full partnership, theres no partnership for a single vid

I've always though you needed 1-2k subs for YT partners..wow you're lucky man take that opportunity right away. I'd say post more legit videos and earn subs to make some serious cash...don't get the account banned through spam.

I would take them up on the offer and start producing high quality vids... As a partner you should avoid all spam because, you don't want to ruin a relationship with a lot of potential to make you money.

Honesty, I'm shocked that they offered you a partner... No offense or anything but, your total views just don't seem very high when compared to some of the larger producers.

Those stats seem low. Are you sure its a partnership and not just an invitation to monetize one of your high view videos with ads on the video?

Normally youtube would send you an email notification if you were invited to the become a partner. The offer you have shown in the pic doesn't seem to say your going to be a partner, but rather invites you to sign up for the partner program. Such an invitation would n't necessarily mean anything as everyone can sign up for youtube partnership.

Youtube sent me 2 emails over 3 days to join the partner program for 2 seperate videos. Sorry I didn't check my email before my original post, so it seems that they are offering me partnership on 2 individual videos based on their emails. So that question is answered - they're offering a limited partnership.

So can I have a partnership on multiple youtube accounts with 1 adsense account?

Google is my friend...just found this answer on a google support forum

If you decide to apply to and become a YouTube partner, you will be able to link all 3 YouTube accounts through the content manager.

With the matter of multiple accounts settled do I get my foot in the door for youtube partnership and then eventually stop dealing with the rude affiliate program and go completely legit? or go to DP and sell the whole thing off for the cash up front?

I was shocked as well, like I said I didn't expect for this to happen. Its like I found a signed blank check from youtube on the ground. Spam is definitely going to stop now. I'm probably going to start deleting some of the more extreme videos from the account just to keep things above board.

damn, so they only put ads on videos from yt partners? I never even realized that. That's gotta be some bad businessmanship :)
Are these some kinda sexy videos? I've got a bunch of them and all they get is the innapropriate content flag. Maybe because they're not tied to an adsense account.
I say screw it. You'll never earn as much with those crappy youtube ads.

The videos i have uploaded haven't been flagged at all. I'm going to sleep on it and see if I want to go forward with this account in the partner program. I really want to be a full partner with a different account and I don't want this to effect my chances later on. Been googling the partner program payrate and I've heard a bunch of unconfirmed amounts such at $2.50 - $4.00 per 1000 views or $800 per 1 million views and some say its based on the number of ad clicks you receive on the video page.

Whatever the pay out, I think youtube is definitely scalable once your a partner, especially if using some of the tips and tricks listed in the hallowed halls of BHW. I'm going to work on my other youtube channel and try to get those video's and account eligible for partnership as well.

Was this the mail you got?

Your video "xxxx" has become popular on YouTube, and we'd like to invite you to start making money from it by including it in the YouTube Partnership Program
Making money from your video is easy. Here's how it works: First sign into your YouTube account _________. Then, complete the steps outlined here: "YT link". Once you're finished, we'll start placing ads next to your video and pay you a share of the revenue.
We look forward to adding your video to the YouTube Partnership Program. Thanks and good luck!
The YouTube Team

I got one of these a few days ago for a spam vid :slap:

What is the point of changing to the partner program?

Yes I received 2 of these emails from youtube, but there was also the link on my home page to join the program (as shown in the attached picture).

wait..what? I got a partnership reccomendation too and I only had a few thousand views on a video..I declined because I figured it wouldnt bring in any cash :o

Just checked some of my accounts and I got this on some of my 'sexy' videos. Of course I wont join because these videos are very much against the TOS...

Might be because your videos are getting a lot of traffic quickly / their hot videos right now, so they offered you a placement on those videos only based on the fact you drive a lot of traffic to them? :S No idea to be honest, just take the offer :P

Here is an update...tried to login to my YT account and found that my account has been permanently disabled. Talk about going from the Penthouse to the Outhouse in under 24 hours. Back to the drawing board again...

Did you apply for the partnership when that happened? I think they manually check the video before accepting you for copyright or TOS problems.

thats how it usually works. high traffic and you get some invitation from their bot, who thinks you are eligible for partnership program. of course, if accepted, then there will be manual review.

I think you've been phished buddy! That's the way the scammers works.. they approach people with lots of video views and then let you login to Youtube to a page of the scammer (watch the url you are login to!) And once you've done that the phisher will have a keylogger where they see your password and they will takeover your account.

Believe me, this is the way how they are working..

Oh, and it seems that Youtube is aware of these phisher activities, that's why they have disabled the account permanantly. See some examples here: http://www.youtube.com/user/EverythingMiley05 http://www.youtube.com/user/MileyCyrusUjeza http://www.youtube.com/user/eldjricardo http://www.youtube.com/user/Bunegar06 http://www.youtube.com/user/MCSBlog these accounts are all blocked. They were all number 1 positions videos! Guess what happend..
