Progression Depression? Focus? Priorities?

Hey my friends..

Despite my introduction post, this is my first real post, most likely in the wrong forum, therefore @mods: feel free to move this thread to any location you think it fits better.

i'm 35, living in mid europe, father of 2 small mini me and have decent allround knowledge about IT stuff due to my job, education and general interests in technology (especially process optimization, databases and visualization, software, current trends except system architecture like osi layers and stuff - too mathematical for me).

I recently got diagnosed with adhd with the main symptoms like getting easily distracted, want to make everything perfect and problems to prioritize (you will realize from my writing that I'm sometimes jumping from one topic to another.. - also one of the issues).

I am currently (since a few months) digging down the rabbit hole of planning a blog / content website to make technology more accessible for people who do not have the same IT affinity as I do.

As an example could be to show in an understandable way the advantages and possibilities of a small home server / NAS for private person (for the elderly or the younger generation who did not grow up enjoying the evolution from the analog world to everything digitalized).

Additionally (optional) more information or longterm kind of service offerings for small to medium sized companies.

Now my problem is.. I don't know:

where to focus?
where to start?
what are the steps?
what are the priorities?
what are my milestones?

I know, there are several guidelines around the internet, but after hours / days / weeks of research I could not find the one and only best practice..
the ring best practice to rule them all.

Current situation:

In the meantime I think I set up my website 3 or 4 times already and was playing around how to design everything (layout etc.), in the end i set up everything again from scratch.

I wasn't able to find a reliable source for templates i like and I struggle with how to proceed.

Now my question to you guys out there:

What is your progression plan for your new "project" you have in mind and how do you stick to that plan?​

Break down your goals into smaller and achievable tasks. Use a calendar and make plans and set some realistic deadlines. Plus, collaborating with a team or getting feedback from others is really helpful so try to connect with like-minded people on this forum. Good luck!
