Hey BHW community, I am going to begin selling on eBay and Amazon and I wanted to see if there were any product research tools you guys would recommend that would be good for both platforms.

I had 2 ideas in mind -

1. Get JungleScount and use it specifically for the Amazon marketplace, and then get another tool separately for eBay. Zik Analytics seemed like it would be really useful. If it is going to help me succeed I do not mind spending the extra money for 2 separate platforms.

2. Go with a tool that covers both platforms; so far the tools I've come across are below.
- Terapeak
- Algopix

The type of selling I would consider doing on both platforms would be retail/online arbitrage, dropshipping, and wholesaling.

I would appreciate any advice from those of you who already have successful Amazon and or eBay stores.

Thanks!

Check out this thread https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/this-is-how-i-find-profitable-items-to-dropship-from-amazon-to-ebay.999782/
The tool is now called Https://DropIt.studio

Thanks, man, Ill def check it out.

Have you had any issues with your eBay account getting banned? I read on another thread eBay was banning accounts where you install an API and you are using it on your eBay account.
Yes, don't use price updater that are using API

is your app using API?
No, it is for product research. It doesn't use your eBay/Amazon accounts. There are repricer tools that use API that will update your prices of the products you are selling in your accounts. These can get you into trouble.

These tools are available publicly and everyone is using these techniques. So whats the difference? I would suggest , if you can afford, hire a developer and make your own tools that narrow down the results extracted from these. Applying just one more parameter will increase your sales by at least 3x. Believe, you ll get the best results.

Thanks, what type of tool would I need to tell the developer that I need?

Show him the working of Jungle Scout that you need to develop a custom tool with xyz parameters. It may be a chrome or safari plugin.
