I would have thought that you would be asking yourself first how can l serve up a better search experience to my customers, without looking at your website it's difficult to suggest much other than the obvious, for example .....
You should be looking at your stats first to determine where the majority of your traffic is coming from, what are its buying habits, what is the age group and other questions that will pinpoint which niche to concentrate on.
When you have found which niche is showing the most traffic l would send them a sheet asking them what they were looking for, what they needed and so on......
I can give you lots of ideas but there are just too many to be on the money without further information.
