Problem Buying On Ebay?

Anyone having problems buying on ebay or using paypal at all to buy?

I made a stealth paypal, it is about 1 week old, im trying to buy a $1000 macbook, my laptop just died and i need a new one for work, i found one that is $400 cheaper than it is in the stores.

It keeps saying that the payment cant be sent right now or something like that, I called paypal they said it is their internal security system, So i wonder if it would go through if i checkout as a guest or use a different credit card, or fund it with my bank account on paypal.

Anyways, i understand that no one here cant help me, but i was just wondering if im the only one or if other people are having issues and if anyone has found a problem to this solution, apparently paypal workers cant even override the security system, so it is basically a computer running the computer and non of the paypal worked know how it operates so they cant give me advice to help it go through, they jsut say establish a history, well how many transaction and what dollar amounts?

I really need this computer asap, but dont want to spend $400-$500 more in store.

It dumbfounds me if other people are having this problem isnt this causing paypal/ebay to lose a ton of business and money,

There are items that cost millions on ebay, and if i cant even buy a $100 item let alone a $1000 item, how the hell will it let someone buy a item that cost 100k or more?

Just give me some ideas on how to push this transaction through? Are there such thing as paypal buyer account stealths with buying history that is capable of purcahsing high dollars amounts transactions.

Anyone have any answers? This is a urgent matter to me, thanks

Try using a different funding source. Maybe a different credit card, gift card or bank account attached to your PayPal would do the trick.

Are you just saying stuff and guessin or has this helped you in the past?

it sounds like our just saying stuff I need answers from people that has resolved he problem

Yes this is exactly how I fund all my purchases on paypal, by adding a gift card bought in a store with cash. This leaves me virtually untraceable to PayPal and have never had a problem with any buying transactions with this method.

the thing is the item i need cost $950 and gift cards dont go that high.

BUMP!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am the only person running into this problem? can anyone buy anything on paypal or on a new paypal?

i had the same problem. more than that: if i wanted to pay directly to the seller (with his paypal email adress) i couldn't pay. but with an account from someone else, it worked like a charm. it's like paypal makes differences between the accounts.

after i talked to them on the phone say said that they don't see a problem with the account and it will be redirected to another department. i should've got a response after max 2 days but still nothing..

How much is the item?

Were you buying through ebay?

What do you mean with someone elses account? you used a friends or something?

Contact Ebay support about this problem.

Logic would have you believe that you should here something from PP in a day or two, but there is nothing logical about PP. You should keep calling in to PP until you get this resolved, 2, 3 times a day if need be. FYI Sending emails will get you know where.

Well its the security system blocking the payment, idk if it is the vpn im using, payment method, item itself im tyring to buy or what.

I can assure that not everyone is ahving this problem, because even if alot of people were having this problem, id think paypal would feel it financially.

So have you called PayPal? I have had these types of issues (security concerns with adding banks and sending payments and payments not showing up) and most of the time talking to a competent rep will get the problem resolved pretty quickly.

For stealths (esp new ones), you should just purchase cheap crap from ebay. Then start buying the bigger stuff later on.

I appreicate the response, but why is no one ever specific? Thats what i expected, but how much cheap stuff should I buy? also how long is later on?

Reading over your original post, you've had the answer all along. PayPal told you it was internal security. Your account is fairly new and so considered high risk by paypal. Shifting large amounts of money quickly is seen as risky to them, hence the reason for the internal security check. Have you tried buying a couple eBay gift cards and stacking them when you check out so you have the correct total amount of money needed?

I have not, how do you stack them? how do the gift cards work and where can i get them?

I've problem with dropshipping of eBay.
It's really slow.
