Pinging affiliate links?

Hi,


Im wondering if i could shorten my affiliate links and ping them on pingomatic or pingler, would i get anywhere doing this?

if you can manage to rank them then in theory it might be possible to get click's but in reality what you would do is just index your affiliate link (because most shorners use 302/301 redirect) and it won't rank because it's duplicate content with all the other guys promoting that offer

Pinging your links simply send various robots to crawl the link. Not real people.
