I wonder if the technical issue is also affecting current license.
I deleted the plugin from one site and wanted to add it to a new site, but is not working.

The current issue is a networking issue with the hosting company that is affecting our server. That issue is the reason for our server being offline and while the server is offline it will affect the ability to activate license keys for which I apologise for. We should be up and running within a matter of hours now.

I thought I'm the only one having this problem.
When you fill fix his,we will not have to ask you any questions or anything,the wp likejacker will work again right?

As soon as the issue is fixed at our end everything will spring back into action with the Like Jacker etc. You won't need our help to get things running.

I will update this thread as well as email all customers again. I am just as eager as everyone else to have this issue resolved and get things back up and running.

Hi, the plugin does not impose any limits but if you try to send too many jacked likes from your site to your FB page then Facebook may see is suspicious but we provide a lot of advice in the 'best practise' guide that also comes with the Like Jacker. There isn't a trial. The pluguin can jack the traffic that comes to your site regardless of what country that traffic is from. You can also choose to not jack traffic from some countries if you prefer. Thanks, Shez

Hi, yes, the server issue may have affected a number of license keys. Can you create a ticket at the support desk to let me know which sites you have removed the plugin from so that I can manually remove those sites from your license key. Would it be wise to use FB's page plugin in the modal box popup? Visitor will see a "please like our FB page" message and the FB like box. So if he hits the X sign he will still like our page.

But what if he chooses to like the page on the like box in the pop up? The pop-up does not automatically close and he will still have to click the X. Would that remove his like from the FB page?

Hi, I advise customers not to place any FB related content in there. There isn't much point as when they click the x to close the pop up they will be Like Jacked. The modal box serves one purpose and one purpose only and that is to be closed so the plugin can Like Jack your visitor.

Placing something like a 'Like Button/Box' inside the pop up or an email opt-in form or anything else that is clickable will only serve to create issues.

Sure there is a way of deactivating the license key of the plugin. The details of how to do that are in the user guide for the plugin. What you could do is take the shortest route to getting help by creating a ticket at our support desk where someone who knows what they're talking about can help you.

Obviously that is your choice but if you want someone else to assist you then you can do that away from this thread as this thread isn't used for support.

I am sorry that you're upset that our team isn't responsible for theme incompatibility. I'm not too sure how we can be responsible for such a thing, to be honest. That means we'd need to be able to edit the code and files of every WP theme that conflicts with the Like Jacker.

I did explain that to you on November 28th though in a reply to your ticket at the help desk.

Here are a few reasons why, though:

1) We sell a BH WP plugin that does a very specific task and due that we are limited in the options we have for how that plugin is coded. It is impossible to code this plugin so that is flexes around every WP theme or plugin out there.
2) Can you imagine the time involved if our support extended to editing the code and files of WP themes that were created by other companies? Some themes are very complex, and it could take our developers many hours to find the conflict and then try to code a custom fix for it.
3) If we did code a custom fix for the theme, it would be overwritten as soon as the developer of that theme released an update we'd be back to square one.
4) if we coded a custom fix for a customer there is no guarantee that they wouldn't change to a different theme in a weeks time and possibly face the same issue which means they would come back to us to repeat the same process again for them.

As you can see, just for those few reasons, providing custom coding to themes that we didn't create just isn't viable.

Often when a theme conflicts with the Like Jacker there are settings we can change within that theme via the themes control panel where it has one. Or, also common, is that the theme also connects to FB and when that happens all the user needs to do is use a FB App ID for the Like Jacker.

The number of themes which conflict with the Like Jacker that we can't do anything about are very few indeed.

In your case it seemed to be the Visual Composer that was causing an issue because when I deactivated that on your site the plugin worked correctly. I have helped other customers with the Like Jacker who are using the Visual Composer and it didn't cause an issue on their WP set up. This highlights the almost unlimited variables that exist between different WP installs and for some reason the Visual Composer caused an issue but on other customers sites the Visual Composer doesn't cause any issues.

You also said in an update to your ticket that you wanted to keep the plugin as you will use it on your other sites. The last update from you was on November 30th when you said you would stay tuned for updates to the plugin as they become available. If you needed further help with the plugin then you could update your ticket with the details of that so we can look into for you.

Sure, let me just put my psychic hat on.....

There is a reason that we have a help desk and a reason that we don't use this thread for support issues. There is no way from your post that I could ever tell you what's wrong and that would be because, 1) I don't even know the site that you have the plugin on, 2) I don't know what settings you're using, 3) I don't know if your settings are correct, 4) I don't know what your license key is so I can't validate your ownership of the plugin which means I can't provide you with support.

So, the short answer is, nope, I don't have any idea how this can be fixed.


However, I do have a solution that is a step in the right direction.....

If you go to our support desk and create a ticket then we can get some more information from you about your settings and test the plugin as well. The link to the help desk is in the welcome email that you received when you purchased the plugin as well as being in the user guide under the section that says ' If you need help.....'

After you have created your ticket we are notified of this and will respond to your ticket.

I have stated this many, many times before, in this thread, I am unable to provide users of the Like Jacker with support via this thread or via PM's at BHW. The only channel that we provide support for our plugins. It allows us to get the information that we need from you and keeps everything in one central location.

Posting on the thread for support matters or to let me know that you have created a ticket (or PM'ing me to let me know you have created a ticket) serves one purpose and that is to create more work this end as we need to reply to your posts, PM's and the support ticket.
