I have question a question that sounds silly but I want to understand HOW GOOGLE RANK THE WEBSITE LOCAL.

my google search is set with my zipcode ( redondo beach location).

I am promoting my mattress website in Los Angeles area. I am paying someone else to do backing blogs and etc.

when I go on search using my zipcode and type the keyword: mattress online

my link is in the first page of google ( which is good ) BUT when I change the zipcode to the main city zipcode ( to Los Angeles which is only 15 miles away from my zipcode ), I dont see any of my links??


anyone here could explain me what is going on??
