Not Ranking to #6 - 1,600 Exact Match Searches. Currently I see #3

looking to order this service for a client and have a couple of questions

The trial ranked the site at number 6 on the 12th Jan, it went to number 1 for a couple of days around 18th Jan then stuck at around number 8 until yesterday

Today it is on page 6

Is this the google dance or has the link fallen off the main page to an inner page

If it has fallen off the main page is this the expected result after 14 days or so to drop down to page 6

@boom1 - most likely this is part of the algo update that occurred in the last 48 hours. I kind of doubt this was a dance as we didn't build very many links in a review copy. I usually see dancing from mass profile/blog comment blasts. Also please remember that your website wasn't ranking in the top 500, so there could be some dancing as Google is evaluating your site from the QDF score.

@wokaka - No, we would not. Typically we do the guarantee to show that our links work. Since we don't do guaranteed rank improvement for keywords #11 or higher let's use a different example. Say your website was #25 then increased to #22 and then fell to #26 a week later. We would not issue a refund. We don't do the ranking improvement for keywords in the top 10 as we would because it is incrementally more difficult to move up a keyword. If you've ever played video games it's like when your character is level 98 and you are trying to get to 99. It's takes a lot more points. The customers that I see ranking the best are the ones that are constantly building links even after using our service. A lot of our clients are also SEO firms and then outsource part of their work to us.
