Just as a note: With regards to deindexing we have always replaced the links for any customers with projects up to 30 days old. In the last updated we did well.

It certainly depends on your keyword competition, but I'd start with either 25 or 50 for the first project and then allocate the other 25 or 50 for a 2nd/3rd project spaced 1 week apart.
 
3 days after created 50 PBN backlinks with Seslingshot service, here is my stats:
Red arrows point to my main keywords. I think I must wait a week to see the final results.

I ordered a 100 post package on the website.
The support there is awesome..

Mostly PR 3 - 4 .

I check on the DA/PA/TF/Mozrank.

Most of them are pretty decent, except some which had pretty bad stats (About 1 - 2 domains)
But on average they look awesome!
