having problems with CS and GSA SER. Thought it was a problem with GSA ranker as my LPM was dropping badly. Realise CS kept hanging. Happened countless of time. is there an update to this.

Yes, it seems SER sends some malformed requests (purposely?) to CS which can cause it to hang. You can use the CS monitor tool, to keep CS alive even when the host app is trying to make it appear like CS is having problrems, by sending it bad data:

I just wanted to let you know that as of the last few days I am running into the same issue one of the guys mentioned above

CS comes back with tons of No Answers on catchas that are supposed to have 70% or even 90%+ success rate

So if its ONLY of last few days, and CS does NOT auto-update, what would you conclude here? Perhaps captchas have changed? New captchas? All within the realm of possibility.

At any rate, I notice you need to use the latest, 4.01: http://www.captchasniper.com/download-2

From your screesnhot I notice that the plone at 72% is not even a plone captcha, in fact its not one that even exists in CS (yet).

When you see this, right click the captcha and click edit. Does whats shown in CDK, match the captcha that was sent? If not, (which is the case here), this simply means that this is an unknown type to CS and that it tried to match it using the plone algo.

As for the Ucenter captcha, this could be 1 of 2 things: Either there is a new ucenter captcha being used (doesnt look like it) OR you're running 64Bit Server software which requires a different database:

Awesome! This should keep any malformed requests from causing any problems with CS

As Ive told you on skype (and ill be more than happy to publish the conversation for all to see) this is a simple process of downloading the correct database. Thats it, download a different database and your fixed up.

I did a sysprep for moving the server on my hyper-v host. Now it tells me

'invalid license 2147221502' any other seo stuff is still functional on hyper-v (scrapebox, GSA Indexer, GSA SER, SEO Powersuite)
but not Captcha Sniper. By the way: how is the above database applied and does it improve detection?

Like I mentioned earlier the 'check for updates' process can't connect - is it known?
Which OS do you recommend for captcha sniper? I guess there's a build in training mode but it's crashing or I'm doing something wrong.
Video-Tutorials would be great for getting an optimized experience ; )

To move CS, youll need to request a license transfer via email. Check for updates is a known bug and is already fixed for the next version.

As far as OS, really any version of windows is suitable. Yes, there is a built in trainer and you are correct that documentation is sorely needed. Perhaps a quick skype session would clear thing up

We are always no more than 12 hours out on support email ... usually more like a coulpe of hours in most cases, so if you could hit me up on skype ~ imbotz ~ as it seems one of us is not inboxing the other.

This is recaptcha which is not supported currently in CS. However, in the coming days ill be integrating the solution from spamvilla for recaptcha. It will be a 3rd party service, but its currently the best and most economical solution for these.

As far as Recaptcha goes, we will be implementing a solution from Spamvilla in the coming days. Although its a 3rd party service, its currently the best solution (speed, accuracy, cost) for this type of captcha
