I run a link check at the end of every campaign to verify that the links are active and I blast out thousands of extra ones just in case any get deleted. Basically for the most part they will probably stay there until the domain is let expire. On a 15k run I generally do over ~23,000 live links to pad it out enough that you can take some of them dropping off and still come in above your original package that you purchased over time.

- are these xrummer links? what kind of links are they? blog commenting? forums, profiles?
- I have a 2 year old domain, do you think I can have 5000 links without being punished?
- I have newer domains and these ones I would like to start slowly, please let me know.

I can do a shorter run for you if you would like, just buy the bronze plow and let me know your preferences. These are not from xrumer, they are blog comment links. Links do not punish sites, but you will sometimes experience what is called a "google dance" where you have rank fluctuations for a while before it stabilizes and rises (this happens with any amount of links really as you are re-ranked) On newer domains I usually suggest using Web2.0 buffer sites (hubpages, wordpress, blogger, squidoo, etc..) mixed in with the run, but a new site will rank good no matter what with some fresh content and links just because it is new for a couple of months then drop into the regular serp dance as it ages, it's all about how long-term your plan is.
